TREATY & FACULTATIVE REINSURANCE
Baronscourt offers the ability to work in partnership with Local
and Foreign Insurance Companies and Reinsurance Companies in order
to identify, structure and place the Reinsurance programmes and
covers which best optimise the use of the Insurers balance sheet
and capital base, whilst protecting and strengthening shareholder
value. Having identified the risks, challenges and opportunities
that a client faces, Baronscourt will formulate and present the
most equitable and profitable solution for the circumstances and
then source the most appropriate Reinsurance market, either locally
in South Africa or alternatively in the International Markets.
Baronscourt has forged strong relationships with leading International
Reinsurers, Brokers and Insurance Companies and is committed to maintaining
and promoting honest, equitable and mutually beneficial partnerships between its
clientele and the reinsurance markets. Baronscourt has sourced the majority of its
reinsurance staff from the Reinsurance market, thus ensuring an excellent base of expertise
to offer both to our clients and the reinsurers.
With a wealth of in-house expertise, as well as
direct access into the London markets and strong relationships with
the local reinsurance offices, Baronscourt is able to offer the
reinsurance buyer a wide range of products, services and advice
on issues such as capacity gearing, reinsurance budgeting, net and
gross line excess of loss protections, catastrophe covers.
Baronscourt is able to offer both Treaty and Facultative Reinsurance
Services.

FIRE, MOTOR & ACCIDENT
Fire / CAR / EAR Proportional Capacity and Pricing
(Commissions) - Very often a contentious issue at renewal, we are able to advise on and negotiate
equitable and competitive facilities on behalf of our clients.
Motor Treaties - Baronscourt has a close affiliation
with the South African Motor Insurance market, both private and commercial, and as such, we fully
understand the challenges this market poses South African Insurers. Our experience
in this market has proven invaluable to our treaty and facultative partners.
Excess of Loss Layering & Reinsurance Cost Budgeting
- whether considering working layers or Catastrophe covers, XOL
Business is a highly specialised and increasingly actuarially based
reinsurance area.
Baronscourt has particular expertise in this area (all classes)
and has full understanding on the reinsurers underwriting practices
in this regard.
Over and above the mainstream areas set out above, we invest much
of our time developing and designing niche product facilities and specialist
insurances for our clients.
SPECIALISED SCHEMES
Baronscourt has been extensively involved in the Niche Scheme Development
area of Insurance since its inception and has developed an in-depth
knowledge of Scheme Business development and administrative structures
combined with strong and trusting relationships with Local and international
Insures to provide Insurance Brokers and the Buying Public tailor
made schemes for all their needs.
ALTERNATIVE RISK TRANSFER
Baronscourt is able to offer its clients the specialised services
that define risk management in today's modern world; by designing and facilitating structured risk financing solutions that combine financial,
insurance and capital market elements to enhance balance sheet strength. Our team of consulting experts are able to offer comprehensive solutions
that whilst transferring and managing risk can provide quantifiable economic benefits.

P³ PREVENTATIVE PROTECTION PROGRAMMES (HIV
/ AIDS)
HIV/AIDS Risk management needs to do more than ensure people living
with the virus can afford the high cost of treatment. It should also cater for
the serious and direct impact the virus can have on the health of the company's bottom
line. Impact costs such as increasing absenteeism, poor productivity,
customer shrinkage and the need to continually recruit and re-train staff are not sustainable
given the runaway HIV infection rate.
Stemming this infection tide is the only way companies can protect
themselves from the crippling future costs and revenue loss. But, while internal AIDS
Awareness programmes are helping to prevent many infections, they cannot prevent accidental
or trauma-based infections.
The programmes we offer are focused on the sustainability of human
capital for the mutual benefit of your employees, their families, your customers and business.
In P³ - our Prevention Protection Programmes - we have developed
a suite of programmes that provide protection against accidental HIV Infection
by providing access to aid, treatment, help and counselling in that critical 72 hour
window period when the correct action can make the difference between becoming infected
or not.
These carefully researched programmes are designed for the employee
in the workplace, your customers and high-risk professionals such as healthcare workers
and police.
Your investment in P³ HIV Intervention programme will pay unbelievable
dividends over the next decade.
